Halloween 2007

For Halloween, a group of my friends and I decided to dress like the cast of Hairspray. Well, that didn't actually work out. Only my friend Mary and I dressed the part. But I can't blame anyone else since I didn't start on my outfit two nights before Halloween and wasn't even sure I would. I also didn't want to be a specific character so I just made a dress in that style. I probably wasn't accurate, but I had fun wearing it. It has a full circle skirt with a small crinoline underneath so I felt very feminine all day. I was the only one dressed up at work, but with a teal-colored sweater on, I felt very comfortable and wished I could spend every day in a flowy dress.

Oh, and I took pictures of the dress after I wore it so you may notice wrinkles and such. I made this from cotton fabric that I had in my closet for probably around 5 years. I would've liked more red fabric, but since I didn't really have time to work on it, I had to make do with the red ribbon I found.
