Eleni's Gown

Here are pictures of Eleni's gown. I've been working on this since a little before Thanksgiving. The beads are hand-sewn and took me about six hours. I hope Eleni likes it and that it fits well. This was done with only one fitting because she lives so far away from me so I'm a little nervous.
This gown has no zippers and has an iridescent look because of the burgundy satin and navy blue chiffon layering. Eleni and I had a hard time finding fabrics we liked so were were very relieved when we found this.
She'll be wearing to our friend's wedding. I'm working on my own gown too for the wedding with the plaid fabric I blogged about months ago. As usual, I've gotten side-tracked by other projects so I only have this week. Luckily, I do have a bodice pattern done so I'm confident I'll be able to finish. But if there's not another blog by Thursday of this week, it'll mean that I have failed.
