CanCan Outfit

I am very proud of this one. I have been wanting to make a Can Can outfit ever since I saw Moulin Rouge. Sewing the ruffles onto the underskirt took me a week. I can't even tell you how many yards of ruffles I sewed on. I put two circles together to make the skirt so it's very full and heavy. The only things I was dissatisfied with were: I didn't have matching ribbon to lace it up, I didn't have time to embroider feather-like shapes on the bodice where the bones are for decoration and reinforcement, and I didn't have time to make a matching cap with feathers. But I love this new costume and will make those last finishing touches. It turned out just the way I wanted it to.
