Red Victorianesque gown

Here's another gown inspired by something Nicole Kidman wore. This is a modified version of the red dress she wears in "Moulin Rouge." I wore this to a Victorian ball.
The bodice I made my own pattern, but the skirt, I used a pattern from my favorite reference book by Jean Hunnisett, Period Costume for Stage & Screen: Patterns for Women's Dress 1800 - 1909. The skirt is pattern sheet 39.
This is the book we used when I was taking my costume construction class and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to make historic costumes.
